S04 / WEB APPLICATIONS

From customer portals to internal tools, we plan the interface, back end and data together. Angular, React and Next.js are options; the requirements guide the choice.

A web application built around how your business works.

Discuss your project

Bespoke scope, pricing and delivery. Speak to customer support for an assessment.

POSSIBLE USE CASES

Useful software for customers and the people behind it.

These are examples to discuss, rather than a fixed package. The features and deliverables depend on your project.

01

Customer and member portals

Give users a place to sign in, view documents, track requests or manage their details, with access appropriate to each role.

02

Booking and operations tools

Bring appointments, job status, staff workflows or resource availability into one application, with the rules your business needs.

03

Product ideas and MVPs

Define a focused first release of a software product, test the essential user journey and agree what can wait for a later phase.

04

Dashboards and connected systems

Combine information from agreed sources, create useful reporting views and connect the application to existing services through APIs.

DEFINE THE WORK

Agree the details before development.

Interface and user journeys

Agree the screens, roles, responsive behaviour and accessibility requirements, then select an appropriate front end such as Angular, React or Next.js.

Back end, data and integrations

Define the application logic, APIs, database structure, sign-in and permissions. Review existing systems and third-party dependencies before quoting.

Testing, release and handover

Set acceptance criteria, testing responsibilities, hosting arrangements, documentation and source-code handover in the project agreement. Ongoing support is scoped separately.

PROJECT DELIVERY

A clear process, shaped to the project.

  1. 01

    Discuss and assess

Tell customer support about the users, current systems, required features and preferred timing. We assess feasibility and agree any discovery work and its cost first.

  2. 02

    Agree the project

Confirm the scope, price, payment stages, milestones, dependencies, revisions, acceptance checks and handover arrangements in writing before development starts.

  3. 03

    Build and review

Develop the agreed work, review it at the planned stages and assess changes to scope, cost or timing before additional work proceeds.

  4. 04

    Accept and hand over

Complete the agreed acceptance checks and release or migration steps. Provide the agreed code and documentation, and arrange ongoing support if required.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before we begin.

Can you work with Angular, React or Next.js?

These are options for a bespoke web application. We discuss the features, existing code, integrations and maintenance needs before agreeing the framework and full stack. The final technology choices form part of the project scope.

Can you extend an existing application?

Yes, you can enquire about extending an existing application. We assess its code, documentation, access and dependencies before confirming the work we can take on and whether an initial discovery stage is needed.

Is this included in a monthly website plan?

No. Full-stack web app development is scoped and quoted separately. Contact customer support to discuss requirements, fees, milestones, revisions and acceptance. The standard website subscription delivery provisions do not apply; project delivery is agreed in writing.

LET’S DISCUSS IT

Start with the problem you want to solve.

Share the main users, features, existing systems and any preferred timing or budget. Customer support will help clarify the assessment and next steps before a project scope and quote are agreed.
